a smile between grandmother rand grandson there for all the world to see

created in a instant at a moment of your birth

a smile that warmed your soul and gave me heaven and earth

I cannot seem to find it it isnt in our home

Ive hunted high and low Im feeling lost without it i miss it so

i would have hidden you away if I known that we had to part

Its lonely here without you its a shadow life I lead

and tucked in every  a sad and painful need

where did that smile go the one where love shone through

where each day was very special if I shared that day with you

that smile is now my comfort its my very soul

that smile is breathing life to fill an empty hole
